The right house gives everyone a place in the holiday
Twenty people around the breakfast table. Cousins already in the pool. Friends planning the next beach day while someone pours another coffee. A great Costa Rica group villa makes gathering feel natural: enough privacy to retreat, generous places to spend time together and a setting that becomes part of the memories.
Finding that home takes more than filtering for thirty guests. Twenty adults traveling as ten couples need a different arrangement from twenty people across four families. A large bedroom with several beds may be ideal for cousins; it does not replace a private room for another couple. The most impressive house is only the right choice when its spaces suit your people.
Our shortlist brings together different ways to stay: a Flamingo estate for a party of twenty, two seven-bedroom houses in Hacienda Pinilla, a broader private estate near Nosara and fully staffed villas in Manuel Antonio. Here is how we choose between them—and how we make the shared holiday work after the bedrooms have been assigned.
Planning a large-group holiday, milestone birthday or family celebration? Tell Bespoke Costa Rica your dates, guest count and the occasion you have in mind. We can recommend a private villa, neighboring villas or a boutique-hotel buyout, then coordinate the meals, experiences and transportation around your group.
Plan your group stay or celebrationStart with households, bedrooms and beds
Before choosing a property, write down the households: couples, solo guests, children and anyone who needs their own room. Then identify who is happy to share a bedroom and which children can share beds. That simple exercise reveals the minimum number of private rooms far more clearly than the total headcount.
Twenty adults as ten couples need ten appropriate bedrooms. Thirty adults as fifteen couples need fifteen. A ten-bedroom villa advertised for thirty people may work beautifully for a family group using additional beds, while offering too few private rooms for fifteen couples.
For families, look beyond the bed total. Children may need to be close to their parents, teenagers may prefer separate beds, and a grandparent may value a quieter room with an easier route to breakfast. A room beside the main gathering terrace can be convenient for one guest and noisy for another.
We build the rooming plan before treating a property as a match: which household sleeps where, the beds they use, bathroom arrangements and the route between rooms and common areas. That is the difference between a house that technically fits and a stay everyone can enjoy.

One villa, two homes or a whole estate?
One large villa works when the group wants a single center of gravity. Breakfast happens in one place, people encounter each other throughout the day, and nobody needs to organize a journey to join dinner. Choose it for a group whose room requirements fit the house comfortably.
Two coordinated villas give families or circles of friends their own living rooms and pools. They can be excellent when some guests prefer an earlier night or when two households want different routines. The important detail is how you move between the houses and where the whole party can gather. Two reservations alone do not create one shared holiday.
A multi-building estate can provide more individual accommodation and several places to spend the day. It is especially appealing when the guest list needs more private bedrooms than one villa offers. Plan the paths, transport and main meal setting together so the property feels connected.
A boutique-hotel buyout is another direction when separate suites and hotel service suit the group better. Our guide to celebrating a big birthday explores that format alongside the experiences and celebration itself. Here, the priority is choosing the accommodation around the group.

What to budget for an exclusive group villa
These are substantial private-villa and estate bookings, chosen for space, privacy, setting and service. Expect accommodation budgets of several thousand dollars per night, rising well into five figures for the most exceptional estates. Christmas and New Year can sit in a category of their own.
Aya and Luma: around US$5,000–6,400 per night together
For non-festive dates, allow approximately US$2,500–3,200 per villa per night, or US$5,000–6,400 for the pair. This accommodation planning range includes taxes and mandatory booking fees; additional chef services, meals, transportation and experiences are planned separately. Your travel dates and guest configuration determine the final proposal.
Villa Ocaso: around US$10,000–13,000 per night
Ocaso's published accommodation rates run from US$10,000 per night to US$13,000 for the festive season, plus 13% tax. That places a seven-night stay at approximately US$79,100–102,830 including that tax, before additional meals, experiences and celebration services.
The combined Punto de Vista estate: around US$11,700–16,100 per night outside festive weeks
For both Manuel Antonio villas together, published non-festive base rates span approximately US$11,700–16,100 nightly. The property's published Christmas and New Year base tariffs rise to roughly US$22,800–30,300 per night. The estate adds 17% in taxes and fees to its base pricing; dining beyond the included service and event production are separate arrangements.
For Finca Austria, the estate configuration and meal-service plan shape the proposal: we price the accommodation you need and the services you want together. Across the shortlist, Bespoke Costa Rica can prepare a complete accommodation-and-services budget so you can choose the experience with a clear view of the total.
Villa Ocaso: one spectacular Flamingo base for twenty
Villa Ocaso, our Flamingo nine-bedroom ocean-view estate, accommodates up to twenty overnight guests. Its terraces, infinity pool and Pacific outlook create a strong setting for a holiday that alternates time at home with beach visits and outings from Flamingo.
Choose Ocaso when your party fits that twenty-person limit and its nine-bedroom arrangement suits the households. It is a particularly good property to consider early in the room-planning conversation: twenty guests are not necessarily ten private couples' rooms.
The setting encourages a recognizable rhythm. Breakfast at home, a morning on the coast, lunch and pool time, then everyone gathering as the light changes over the bay. A private charter can become the week's main adventure, with transportation between the villa and the departure point already arranged.
Because this is a house with different levels and a hillside outlook, we match rooms and daily transport to the guests. The view is part of the attraction; an understood route to the beach and between the villa's spaces makes it work for the whole party.
A private coastal week from Flamingo
Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange a private yacht or catamaran from Marina Flamingo, fishing charters, beach outings and chef-prepared meals back at Ocaso. A morning on the water can become a long lunch on board, while another day stays entirely at the villa: pool, massage and sunset drinks served on the terrace. We coordinate the crew, transfers, meals and return time around the group.

Villa Aya and Villa Luma: fourteen bedrooms across two homes
Villa Aya and Villa Luma each have seven bedrooms and a private pool in Hacienda Pinilla. Together, they offer fourteen bedrooms for a group that prefers two homes to one larger building.
That arrangement can be particularly useful for several families traveling together. Put the early-rising household in one home, give another family its own quieter evening, and agree which house is the main meeting point. Children have familiar people close by, while adults can enjoy a little independence.
Aya's room mix includes two king master suites, two queen junior suites and three family suites with two queen beds apiece. It is the kind of detail that changes a room plan: a family suite can be genuinely useful for parents and children, whereas counting every bed as a place for an unrelated adult would create a very different stay.
For twenty to thirty guests across both houses, we work through the complete allocation and identify where everyone will eat and gather. Having two kitchens or two dining areas does not establish seating for thirty at a single table. The combined service plan needs to account for that larger meal as well as everyday breakfasts in each home.
Golf, biking trails and beach-club afternoons
Hacienda Pinilla adds an appealing range of experiences to a villa week: its 18-hole golf course, mountain-biking trails, surf beaches and beach club. Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange tee times, biking outings, surf lessons and beach-club plans, with transport or appropriate local vehicle arrangements around the two houses.
Guests enjoy beach access through the gated community, while the days can feel quite different for each household. Golfers can leave early, another group can follow the biking trails, and families can head for beach time before everyone meets again for lunch. We coordinate the applicable club access, reservations and services with the villa team.
Back at the houses, Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange private chefs, a bartender and the service team for shared meals. We agree which home hosts the main gathering, then plan the dining setup, food and staffing around the full party.

Hacienda Pinilla also asks you to think about movement within the stay: journeys to the beach, golf, surf lessons and dinners elsewhere. We coordinate those outings alongside the houses, and establish the applicable beach-club access and meal arrangements for the reservation. You can then enjoy the community as part of the holiday rather than discovering the transport routine after arrival.

Finca Austria: a private estate with room to spread out
Near Nosara, Finca Austria offers a different kind of gathering. Accommodation is spread across the estate, with ocean-view and riverside settings rather than one shared building. The appeal is space: different places to relax, smaller households enjoying their own rhythm and a shared setting for meals and time together.
Its broader accommodation capacity gives a group of twenty to thirty room to choose a sensible arrangement rather than occupy every available bed. We select the actual combination of villas and accommodation around the guest list, considering both privacy and the journeys between each household and the main gathering place.
Choose this direction when an estate holiday is the experience you want. Guests might spend part of the morning by a pool, join an outing into the Nosara area, and return for lunch or a long dinner. Some will appreciate a quieter base; others will want beach and surf time arranged into the week.
The useful planning questions concern the whole footprint: which accommodation is reserved, which shared areas are part of the stay, where meals are served and how people move between them. A river setting and an ocean-view setting offer different everyday experiences. We choose the room allocation and transport together so those differences support the group.
Bespoke Costa Rica can connect the estate stay with Nosara surf lessons, private nature outings, wellness sessions and beach days. We arrange chefs and meal service around the chosen accommodation, plus the transport that lets different households explore and return comfortably. The aim is a private-estate holiday with the freedom to enjoy the surrounding coast.

Manuel Antonio: fully staffed villas for a shared coastal stay
Villa Punto de Vista
Villa Punto de Vista has ten en-suite guest rooms, a dramatic rainforest-and-Pacific setting and established shared spaces for groups. For ten couples, the bedroom count makes it a useful starting point. For a larger family party, we assess the additional-bed configuration against the actual adults and children traveling.
Choose it when you want the accommodation and a staffed villa experience to be central to the week. Naturalist outings, the beach and a private boat excursion can sit around the time spent at the property. Our Manuel Antonio luxury stays guide explains the villa in its destination context.
Private guiding, beaches and time on the water
Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange a private naturalist for Manuel Antonio, a boat or catamaran outing, fishing and visits into the surrounding rainforest. We coordinate admissions, guiding and pickups so the outing fits the stay. A longer adventure for some guests can run alongside a quieter beach morning for others, with everyone back for dinner.

Villa La Isla
Villa La Isla offers eight principal guest rooms, with an additional ninth-room option in the property's offered configurations, and accommodation for up to twenty-four guests. Its room plan is especially relevant for families who can use the accommodation mix well; a group requiring twelve private couples' rooms should look at a different arrangement.
The ocean-facing pool and generous social spaces make the time at home an important part of the trip. Breakfast together, a morning out and an afternoon back at the villa can feel just as memorable as a full excursion day. We match the bedrooms and service plan before deciding how much to schedule away from the property.

Both villas together
For a group that needs more individual bedrooms, combining Punto de Vista and La Isla opens up the broader estate. Their eighteen principal rooms provide a different option for thirty adults traveling as fifteen couples, as well as family parties that want greater separation between households.
Choose the combined estate because the additional rooms and spaces improve the stay, rather than because the property can accommodate a much larger maximum group. We agree the main dining and gathering areas, household allocation and service across both villas. The destination remains one holiday, even when people have separate retreats.

A boutique hotel, reserved for your group
A hotel buyout can give a larger gathering something a single villa cannot: more separate accommodation, a hospitality team and a shared setting that becomes familiar over several days. Couples have their own retreat, families can choose the right room arrangement, and everyone comes together for breakfast, an outing or a special dinner.
Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange boutique-hotel buyouts and shape the stay around your celebration. We agree which accommodation and shared spaces are reserved for your party, plan the room allocation and bring the private meals, entertainment, excursions and transportation into the same schedule.
Amarena: canvas villas beside the Central Pacific
Amarena Canvas Beach Hotel sits beside Playa Hermosa in the Místico community on Costa Rica's Central Pacific coast. Its sixteen canvas villas offer private terraces and plunge pools, giving a group a beautiful combination of individual space and time together. Imagine breakfast before a beach morning, lunch with friends and everyone gathering again for the evening.
For a full accommodation buyout, we arrange the sixteen villas around your households, distinguishing king beds, bunks and sofa beds when assigning couples and families. Bespoke Costa Rica can coordinate group dining, a private celebration dinner, decorations, music and entertainment with the hotel team.
Kairos and the wider Místico setting add possibilities for the stay, including dining, lakeside activities and visits to Madresal Beach Club. We arrange those experiences alongside the hotel reservation; the community facilities and beach club remain shared destinations beyond the group's reserved accommodation.

Mandala Ojochal: a greener Southern Pacific gathering
Mandala Ojochal offers another buyout direction, with a mix of villas, bungalows and homes in a tropical setting. Choose it for a group drawn to nature, wellness, shared meals and outings on the Southern Pacific coast. The property is inland, with beach visits planned as part of the day's transportation.
Bespoke Costa Rica can coordinate the buyout, room mix, private transfers, group excursions and celebration with the property team. Meal plans can be arranged around the stay, from breakfast and selected shared dinners to fuller catering. The room allocation and service scope are chosen for your actual party.
For either setting, send us the number of couples and families, children's ages, private-bedroom needs and any preferences about sharing beds. Those details let us recommend a property that works for the people coming, rather than relying on its maximum guest capacity.
Ask us about a boutique-hotel buyoutMake meals, transport and days out part of the same stay
For a larger group, meals become a pleasure when the service matches the numbers. Breakfast can be the daily meeting point; lunch may happen at the house, at the beach or on a boat; dinner can bring everyone together again. Choose how much service you want, then settle the chef, preparation, service staff, groceries, drinks and clearing around that rhythm.
An included breakfast is different from a chef for every meal. Daily housekeeping is different from an evening service team. We establish those distinctions for the selected property so the group gets the experience it expects.
Transportation begins with the flights and luggage. One vehicle may suit a shared airport arrival, while several households landing at different times need separate pickups. During the stay, some guests may return from an outing early or go to dinner elsewhere. A good private transportation plan gives them options without turning the host into a dispatcher.
For activities, a few shared anchors are enough: a private boat day, a guided nature morning and a meal everyone looks forward to. Smaller groups can enjoy surf lessons, golf or another adventure while others stay at the villa. Bring everyone back together for the parts of the holiday they came to share.
Staggered arrivals, different vehicles and one coordinated stay
A group of thirty rarely arrives as one group of thirty. Bespoke Costa Rica can meet each flight with the right vehicle, match SUVs or private vans to the passengers and luggage, and coordinate a stocked villa and welcome meal around the arrivals. The first guests can settle into their holiday while the next household is still on its way.
During the stay, we can provide separate departures for golfers, families and guests who want a slower morning. A driver can bring some people home after lunch while others continue their outing; evening transport can work around different restaurant bookings and return times. You share the holiday without having to move as one large party all day.
Our concierge coordination brings the villas, chefs, bartenders, guides, vehicles and activity providers onto the same schedule. You choose the moments to enjoy together and the time you want apart. Bespoke Costa Rica handles the connections that make both easy.
Private dinners and entertainment, without hosting duties
A private dinner can be the highlight of the stay: cocktails on the terrace, a chef preparing a menu for the group and a table set for an evening together. Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange the chef, bartender, service team, groceries, flowers and dining setup so the host can enjoy the gathering too.
For a celebration, we can coordinate live music, private entertainers or a professional fire performance with a suitable venue. We plan the production and service together: when guests return from their outing, time for photographs, dinner, speeches and the moment the entertainment begins. The property and event arrangement are chosen around the evening you want.
One shared excursion, several ways to enjoy the day
Bespoke Costa Rica can arrange a private yacht or catamaran for the group, a guided nature outing or smaller adventures for guests with different interests. Shade, seating, boarding and the pace of the excursion matter as much as the destination. Families can return earlier or choose a gentler outing while other guests continue exploring.
One person can send us the group's flight details, or households can share their arrivals with our concierge individually. We match vehicles to both passengers and luggage, coordinate separate pickups and bring everyone together at the accommodation. During the stay, guests can enjoy time apart without losing the shared lunches, dinners and experiences that make the holiday special.
Tell us about your group and the celebration
Tell us your travel dates, group size and the celebration you have in mind. Include the number of couples and families, children’s ages, private-bedroom needs and any preferences about sharing beds. We can recommend a villa, nearby villas or a boutique-hotel buyout and coordinate private meals, experiences and transportation.
For Christmas or New Year, date blocks and minimum stays can narrow the selection before room arrangements do. Our luxury holiday planning guide explains how to bring those weeks together. For a birthday or another event, discuss outside guests, entertainment and the venue's arrangements at the property-selection stage.
Bespoke Costa Rica can coordinate the accommodation, room plan, private transportation, meals and experiences as one stay. We use the household list to make the shortlist meaningful, then build around the home that suits you.
The result is a holiday with enough room for everyone to be themselves—and somewhere beautiful to come back together.
